This is the comic Copenhagen Scroll, drawn and written by comic artist Nie Jun.
Follow the girl Shanshan, who gets lost in the National Museum and suddenly finds herself in the middle of the scroll "The Thunder Department Goes on Out on Inspection", dated to the year 1596. Let yourself be immersed in Nie Jun’s Daoist-inspired world of gods, where cats talk and gods ride electric bikes.

Meet Nie Jun

Nie Jun was born in Qingdao, China, in 1975. He began drawing at an early age by imitating the art found in Chinese pocket picture books. He published his first work as a teenager, but it was with the release of My Street, published in French in 2006-7, that he achieved international recognition. Most recently, he has released two works in the series Seekers of the Aweto (2021–), available in both English and French. A central aspect of Nie Jun’s storytelling is his inspiration from history and historical artifacts. He is also fascinated by journeys, where stories emerge from the encounters between characters and their ever-changing surroundings, whether they are on the run from warriors on the Silk Road or chasing cats through the National Museum.
